Welcome to my online appointment system! I advise students that have completed at least 24 credit hours and that are declared in the following programs:
Journalism students
Mass Media students (Media Arts and Management, Promotion & Sales)
COM minors (for majors outside of COM*) (Mass Media and Communication Studies). *If you are a COM major, your major advisor will advise you on your COM minor program as well.. COM minors: Please contact me before you schedule an advising appointment!
If you do not fall into these categories, your appointment may be canceled, and you will be asked to reschedule your appointment with the appropriate advisor. Freshmen students (all first-year students, and students that have completed fewer than 24 credit hours) will be directed to reschedule with University College advising team.
Advising Appointment Process:
To schedule an appointment, select a day and time below and enter the requested information. You will be able to select your appointment preference (in-person versus virtual/Zoom) when you schedule. Appointments on Thursdays and Fridays will automatically be facilitated virtually. If you wish to meet in-person, please schedule for a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
Freshmen & First-Year Students: Please call 309-438-7604 to set up an appointment with your University College advisor.

Virtual Advising Appointments:
Virtual advising appointments will take place via Zoom Monday through Friday. Prior to your scheduled appointment, I will send you an email with a link to my Zoom virtual meeting space. For all virtual appointments, students must follow the protocols for appropriate Zoom etiquette as posted on our website.
In-Person Advising Appointments:
In-person advising appointments will be held in my office, Fell 438B on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays only. When you arrive for your appointment, please check-in using the link provided in your confirmation email. After checking-in, please have a seat in the hallway outside the Communication main office and I will come greet you for your appointment.
Need to Cancel? If you are no longer able to attend your scheduled appointment, please cancel your appointment with at least 24 hour notice, if possible. This will allow another student to use the appointment time. Please refer to the cancelation link that was included in your confirmation email when you scheduled your appointment or you can contact me and I will cancel it. Please note that if you arrive late to a scheduled appointment, you will be asked to reschedule.
