Welcome to my advising appointment management system!

Please note: 
I advise Chemistry and Biochemistry majors and Chemistry minors with at least 24 earned credit hours.  All freshmen and undeclared students are advised by the University College Academic Advisement Center or Honors Program.  All Chemistry Teacher Education majors are advised by Dr. Elisha Swanson (enswans@ilstu.edu).  I am happy to meet with students interested in the Chemistry major, Biochemistry major, or Chemistry minor as well!

Scheduling:
In order to schedule an appointment, please select a day and time below and enter the requested information with as much detail as needed for me to prepare in advance to help you.  Please contact me if none of the times below work with your schedule.  You are responsible for cancelling your scheduled appointment if you are unable to attend.  Working from home with an infant during a pandemic means I go to great lengths to ensure students who schedule appointments with me have my undivided attention.  Please respect my time and efforts by keeping me posted if you can no longer make your appointment as soon as possible.

Preparation:
Review your progress towards your degree prior to the advising appointment.  To do this, log-in to your My Illinois State page, click on the Academics tab at the top, and select the "Progress Towards My Degree" tile to the right.  Be familiar with your remaining requirements.  Bring a list of courses you plan to take to satisfy those requirements as well as any academic or personal questions, concerns, and goals you wish to discuss.

Directions:
***Please note:  Due to COVID-19, appointments will be held over the phone or on Zoom only through July 2021.  Students should indicate on their appointment questionnaire what their desired modality is and the advisor will either call the student at the phone number on record at the start time of the appointment or send a Zoom meeting invite via ISU email in advance.*** Julian Hall is located at 251 S. School Street, connected to the Science Laboratory Building and across from The Alamo II on the corner of School Street and North Street.  My office is located on the second floor within the Department of Chemistry office in 214 Julian Hall.  When you arrive, please sign-in on the front desk kiosk and have a seat.
